Governor Christie is visiting two early presidential primary states this week as he makes another campaign swing to support Republican gubernatorial hopefuls.

He’ll stop in South Carolina today and make another visit to New Hampshire tomorrow.

Christie has been crisscrossing the country in his role as chairman of the Republican Governors Association. It’s a job that allows him to visit important presidential primary states, building a network of donors and supporters, as he considers running in 2016.

Ahead of the governor’s events Tuesday, the RGA announced that it had raised $75 million so far this year under Christie’s leadership.

Including his stops this week, Christie will have visited 28 states and Washington, D.C. for RGA events in 2014.

The association has spent “significant resources” in 19 states this year and is running television ads in 15, spokesman Jon Thompson said.

Earlier this summer the group pledged to spent $100 million in the final 100 days leading up to the November election.

Christie is spending the afternoon in South Carolina where he’ll campaign alongside Gov. Nikki Haley, who is seeking another term, in Charleston. He’s headlining a fundraiser for Haley and another for the Republican Governors Association, which he chairs, before he heads 15 miles south to Kiawah Island, to raise money for the South Carolina GOP.

The governor spent the morning campaigning with Thom Tillis, North Carolina’s House Speaker who is running for U.S. Senate. They visited the Dixie Grill in downtown Wilmington before heading to a private fundraiser for Tillis.

Christie makes his third trip in recent months to New Hampshire – the first in the nation primary state – tomorrow in support of Walt Havenstein, the GOP candidate for governor.

Christie will attend a fundraiser and make a retail campaign stop with Havenstein in Nashua Wednesday afternoon. He’ll finish his visit to the Granite State at a New Hampshire GOP Victory Rally in Salem alongside U.S. Senate hopeful Scott Brown.

Christie endorsed Brown, then a U.S. Senator in Massachusetts, when he sought another term in 2012. Brown lost that race to Democrat Elizabeth Warren and later moved to New Hampshire to make another bid for U.S. Senate.

Before heading to the Havenstein events Wednesday Christie will attend a business roundtable meeting in Washington D.C., which is closed to the media. He will also stop in Bethesda, Md. to raise money for Republican gubernatorial hopefully Larry Hogan.
